 Onyx is composed strictly of ‘A’ grade cells, which maximizes individual panel’s performances. Thus the usage of Onyx panels minimizes interdependency among the panels within the system. Such characteristic allows the PV system to always generate its intended capacity.

 Onyx panels have the highest voltage in the market, which gives it many different advantages over its competitors. Onyx maintains stable input voltage to inverters in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) whereas competing panels produce too low or too high voltage in intense temperatures consequently shutting the entire system down. For this reason, Onyx was selected suitable for powering electric vehicles shown on the right. 

Of course SNS is well aware that mindlessly cranking up the voltage is not practical. Onyx’s voltage is keenly engineered to be compatible with most off-the-shelf inverters while still having its class leading advantages of high voltage performances. Thus, system engineers can easily choose any inverter, such as Micro Inverter®, that suits the given setting and conditions of the system.
