Unfortunately, US solar market is currently largely driven by price. With limited budget under today’s stressed economy, most manufacturers are too busy inventing different ways to make cheaper panels instead of advancing forward in quality for the sake of the industry’s future.

 Pictures on the left shows what other module manufactures do not show to its customers. These pictures, taken by Electro Luminance Tester, display 5 typical ways of making cheaper modules. These defects are not detectable at the point of installation but will surely cause various problems in the near future. So regarding warranties guaranteed by manufacturer, customers find themselves at a loss when their panels that need to be replaced don’t produce minimum point of efficiency required to qualify for the promised warranty.

 Each and every one of Onyx panels goes through the toughest QC systems including such Electro Luminance Testing to ensure quality for our customers.

 After these severe quality testing, each Onyx panel is shipped with a specific serial number with matching quality control data so that our customers know how and for what purpose every panel was made.
